Mas Rodó
Macabeo
Mas Rodó’s commitment to single varietals is especially clear in the MAS RODÓ Macabeo. This wine shows that carefully cultivating the variety, respecting its character, pampering the vineyard, and taking care of the whole process can produce an extraordinary product. Our Macabeo comes from old goblet-trained vines more than 50 years old. It is distinctive for its high ripening, reaching 14º and even 14.5º in some vintages. With its very fine and delicate skin it requires special care, and constant monitoring to ensure that it matures to its maximum potential under controlled risk. The result is a full Macabeo, worked on its lees, fermented and aged in French oak barrels and marked by ripe fruit and honeyed notes that balance with a remarkable acidity for its high level of maturation. This is a white wine with great ageing potential.
